It takes a lot of love, passion and time to make good Kaak Warka. We start by distilling Nesri (Arabic name for sweetbriar), a rose grown on the mountains of Zaghouan, 60 miles south of Tunis. We then mix the Nesri with natural ground almonds. Everything is then rolled by hand in pastry dough and turned into small circles before being baked.
Kaak Warka is THE celebration pastry in Tunisia. It is served to guests at weddings, graduation ceremonies, housewarming parties, and holidays. Its mild sweetness pairs well with mint tea.

How to keep it fresh
Keep the original packaging in a cool (58°f-65°f) dry place and serve within a week.
